Hi, This is Sam Hauser. Here are my thoughts for this week on the 2021 baseball -season.
First of all, here are the standings for this week:
American League East: The Boston Red Sox are in the lead in their division by 1 and 1/2 games over Tampa Bay Rays
American League Central: Kansas City Royals are first by 1 and 1/2 games over the Chicago White Sox.
American League West: Our division is what is most exciting right now in my opinion. There is a 2-way tie for first between the Mariners and the Oakland A’s. then there is a 3-way tie for second place by one game between the Marlins, Atlanta Braves, and Washington Nationals.
Now to the National League,
National League West — The Los Angeles Dodgers are on top in their division by two games.
National League Central — Milwaukee Brewers are in first by two games over the Chicago Cubs and the Reds, who are tied for second.
National League West: The LA Ddogers are on top by two games over the San Francisco Giants.
So, at this point in the season, the Dodgers seem to be the strongest team. Mainly because they have the most wins in the MLB. As for the Mariners, they do this to us every season. Get our hopes up with great playing, and then don’t make it to the post-season. We can hold our breaths that this season will be different.
