MACHATO’S TEAM IS IN 2ND IN THE NATIONAL LEAGUE WEST DIVISION-BOOOOOOO!

Blog for 5/ 7/2021 — Update

Hi, This is Sam Hauser. Here are my thoughts for this week on the 2021 baseball -season.

First of all, here are the standings for this week:

American League- East: The Boston Red Sox are still in the lead with Tampa Bay in 2nd by 1½ games. However, the big change is that New York has dropped to 4th place!

American League — Central: Kansas City Royals lost their first place position to the Cleveland Indians by ½ game with the Chicago White Sox in second. Kansas City is now in 3rd place!

American League — West: Oakland A’s are still in first by 1½ games with M’s in second place, and the Astros are creeping up at ½ game behind the Mariners!

Now for the National League,

National League- East: The Philadelphia Phillies remain in first by 1 game over the New York Mets. The 3-way tie earlier in the week was broken. Atlanta Braves and Washington Generals are tied for 3rd. The Miami Marlins are 2 games behind the first place team. So this is a really tight division!

National League- Central: The Milwaukee Brewers are no longer in the lead. St. Louis has pulled ahead with a one game lead.

National League — West: The Dodgers are 1½ game out of first, and no longer in 2nd place, but now have dropped down to third. San Francisco Giants are still in the lead. I was not happy that the San Diego Padres — Machato’s team — (boooooo!!!) is now in second place!

That’s it for this week. I am happy that Mariners are still ahead of the Astros! I was really surprised to hear how the AL Central division turned out. The Royals have been in first since the beginning of the season, and now they are tied for third??? I wonder what happened there? Also, I wasn’t too happy
