Hi, This is Sam Hauser. Here are my thoughts on the end results of the AL and NL Championship Series. I want to start with the American League first, as always.

The ALCS started with three straight wins by the Tampa Bay Rays and put the Houston Astros on the brink of elimination. However, the Astros fought back with three straight wins to force a game 7. Then the Rays finally eliminated the Astros — YEEEEESSSSSS!!! I will definitely be rooting for the Rays in the World Series. Now that the Rays have knocked out the Astros from going to the World Series, I am even happier to pay my Dad for the 2020 Series Collection in December. That’s how much I wanted the Astros eliminated!

Now, let’s talk about the National League side. The NLCS started with two straight wins by the Atlanta Braves. But then the Los Angeles Dodgers took apart the Braves 15–3 in game 3. It was 15–0 at the end of the 3rd inning! There were 11 runs scored in the first inning, which was a post-season record! Here is what is weird. They are not giving the players any days off in the playoffs, but the umpires are getting the day off the night before they will be umpiring behind the plate. This was the routine for the NLCS series. In game 4 the Braves won and turned the tables on the Dodgers by winning the game 10–2, which puts the Dodgers down in the series by 3 games to one. Then the Dodgers went on to win three games in a row to win the series!

That’s all for this week until the World Series starts.
