Hi, This is Sam Hauser. Here are my thoughts for this week on the 2021 baseball season.
First of all, here are the standings for this week:
American League- East: Boston has a 1 game lead over a two way tie between Toronto and Yankees. So Boston has to watch themselves because they are only one game ahead of the two second place teams.
American League — Central: Chicago White Sox are one game over the Cleveland Indians. The Kansas City Royals have dropped out of first by 6 games — and they were in the first place position for so long! It makes you wonder what happened to the KC Royals. Of course, Minnesota being 9 games out and Detroit being 10 games out of first, things could be alot worse.
American League — West: The Oakland A’s are in first place by two and a half games ahead of Houston Astros, and we (the Mariners) are 4½ games behind the A’s in third place.
National League- East: The NY Mets are 1½ games ahead of the Philadelphia Phillies. Atlanta Braves are in third place.
National League- Central: The Cardinals have a two game lead over Milwaukee for first place. But the Brewers beat the Cardinals
National League — West: The thing about the NL West is that my team, the Giants, are still 2½ games ahead of the San Diego Padres. The Dodgers are in 3rd
